— History —

The Coach House bed and breakfast has two buildings steeped in local history; Mile Ash House was built in 1860 as a gentleman's residence and still has the original coach house and stables at the back of the residence. The house was originally owned by the Reverend Walter Weston who among other achievements popularised mountaineering in Japan! More information about him can be found here wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_Weston
